How much do you charge?
We don’t charge you a fee! When you book through one of our agents, we work with our partners to arrange your trip. After you have traveled, our partners pay us.
Why do I need a travel agent if I can book online?
Well, two reasons: we make your trip easy and more affordable.
When you work with an agent, you normally do not have to pay for your trip all at once. Most of the time, you can pay a deposit and then slowly pay off the rest of the trip (weekly, monthly, etc.)
Additionally, we like to think of ourselves as Travel Advisors. We work tirelessly to establish a relationship with our clients, understand your goals and keep everything organized so that you can stay stress-free and enjoy your trip. With online booking, that does not happen.
What documents do I need to travel with?
Well the answer depends on what kind of travel you are doing. If you are doing a Cruise from the US port and returning to the US port. Yes, you can use your Real ID and or Birth Certificate.
If your traveling domestic, you can use license.
However, if your traveling Internationally, you need a PASSPORT. We always tell clients that they really should start using passports regardless. If there were ever an emergency where you had to get back home on a flight, you CAN NOT fly international to domestic or visa-versa without a passport.
What should I do in case I lose my travel documents?
We usually tell our clients to start by making a copy of your passport and adding it to your itinerary documents. Then, we suggest you make a scanned copy of your passport license and credit card. Once you have all of this scanned, we recommend that you email that to yourself in case of theft or loss of your bag. You can now access it from anywhere in the world.
What happens if I do lose my travel documents?
If you have scanned your passport and have it in your email, you can head over to the nearest US Embassy/Consular office. They will get you an emergency passport to travel home.
How and when do I apply for a travel document?
Different countries have different stipulations for entry. Some countries require a valid passport at the time of travel, others require your passport be valid 3-6 months after your departure date, and others require a visa. It varies country to country, so the www.travel.state.gov is your best resource. When applying for a passport, give yourself 4-6 weeks turnaround time.
Do I need travelers insurance?
Yes, yes, yes! It is our best practice to always get travelers insurance. You’re investing in a trip, so you don’t want to lose your investment because something unexpected happens. From a family medical emergency that prevents you from traveling to dealing with a cancelled flight, travelers insurance can reimburse your non-refundable expenses.
How can I make sure that I am safe when travelling abroad?
Make sure to let the US Government know of your travel plans. Create and register with the STEP program at https://step.state.gov/STEP. This consistently updates about issues over the world. The US will send alerts to you if there is an ALERT issued for the country your visiting.
How should I deal with money when travelling internationally?
When traveling internationally, call your local bank and ask to order foreign currency. The foreign currency usually takes about 24 hours to come in. In addition to ordering currency, it’s a good rule of thumb to use a credit card that wont charge you a foreign transaction fee. Additionally, please make sure you let your credit card company know your traveling. Also be aware that if you’re using a debit card, the daily limit is in EURO which means 250.00 euros is a $500.00 daily limit.
When is the best time to book a vacation?
It depends on where you are looking to go. Generally, if you are traveling to the Caribbean you want to stay away from the hurricane seasons (June 1 – November 30th). Whereas if you are traveling to Europe, then you would be better off traveling in May, September & October. No matter where you decide to travel, you should always ensure that you leave yourself plenty of time and do your research on the area first (or work with one of our agents who will do it for you!).
